The essence of word “Leader” in the world of athletics is muted. It is used to describe a player with extraordinary physical abilities, a person playing a specific position or someone who holds a position of power on the team and in the organization. But what about true leaders? Where are the people who can transform values into actions, visions into realities, obstacles into innovations, individuality into collaboration, and risks into rewards? We don’t see them. Many of those who carry the moniker of leader in the world of athletics are ineffective.

This isn’t just a problem in athletics. The harsh reality is most people ascending to leadership positions, regardless of industry, do so at the age of 30 years old. The average age of receiving their first leadership training and education is 42 years old. The gap is clear!
